EcoAdventure 2008

2008 was our best race ever! We had well over 300 participants, a record for us. Thank you each and every one! As usual we bend to Mother Nature’s whims. This year although we had stellar weather the day of the race, the ice was not off the lakes, so our participants were forced to portage their boats instead of paddle them, which always makes the start interesting. This year we added a D.J. at the finish line, KICK FM’s Broose volunteered his time to play music and call in some of our returning athletes as they crossed the finish line. SHAW TV’s Ray Brickwood and Sarah Blondin came out to capture the race and interview athletes. As usual, the incredible spirit of the athletes, volunteers, sponsors and staff that are part of this day is infectious. Thank you to each and every person and business that makes this kick-off to spring the incredible event it is. We look forward to seeing you next year!
