Vanishing of the Bees tells the story of the drastic decrease in honeybees across our planet. Known as Colony Collapse Disorder, this phenomenon is having an enormous impact on farmers and our food crops that rely on honeybees for pollination. The film follows two commercial beekeepers as they try to maintain healthy bees and fulfill their pollination contracts. It also takes a look at the greater meaning behind the disorder and what it says about our relationship with mother earth. 90 min.
Just added:
A 30 minutes panel discussion with Canadian beekeepers will take place after the screening of The Vanishing of the Bees.

The Ailing Queen (La Reine Malade) follows Anicet Desrochers, a beekeeper in the Laurentian mountains of Quebec, as he spreads the word about his pioneering ecological methods of breeding bees to be naturally resistant to disease. Supplying
healthy queens to those in need, Desrochers helps fellow beekeepers restore
their colonies and cope with the perplexities of a large-scale crisis of
which the public is still largely unaware. French with english subtitles. 90 min.
