Do you love camp, but want something a little different? Located at our Siobhan Richardson Field Station, this camp offers a remote feel in the middle of Winnipeg.  If you’ve wondered about life before TV, or how food gets to your plate...You are an Earth Kid!  Hands on interactive explorations of farm, food, ecology and Manitoba’s culture - Earth Kids offers it all!

  • Camp adventures for ages 8-11 (or entering grade 3–6 in September 2010) Located at the secluded, Siobhan Richardson Field Station, 1961 McCreary Rd.

  • Programs offered from 9am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday

  • All Weeks Members $185, Non Members $205

Session One:  Weather or Not

July 5–9, 12–16, 19–23, 26–30

Get into the core of the what’s, why’s and how’s about weather. Learn cultural teachings about stars, clouds, birds, and other atmospheric fun!
 

Session Two: Wonders from Down Under

August 9–13, 16–20, 23–27

Soils are an integral ecosystem on our plant. They provide food, purify our waters, and are habitat for many creatures. Visit FortWhyte Farms to harvest fresh food, and learn the importance of keeping it local. Plus, forage for wild edibles, and try your hand at archaeology as you dig deep into Earth Kids!

Along with the great session-themed activities, each session offers storytelling, canoeing, archery, swimming, a Bison Safari, special Earth Kids crafts, and much, much more.
