Ages 8 to 10 - entering Grade 3, 4 or 5 in fall 2010

  • Summer camping at its best for ages 8-10 (or entering grade 3, 4 or 5 in September 2010)

  •  Located at the FortWhyte Outdoor Adventure Centre,  2505 McGillivray Blvd

  • Programs offered from 9am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday

  • All weeks Members $145, Non Members $175

The EcoQuest program offers campers a taste of adventure, in addition to our regular line-up of nature-based program themes. Activities such as swimming, canoeing, archery, and crafts are included in each session.

Session One:  Way Up in the Sky...

July 5–9, 12–16, 19–23, 26–30

It’s all around us ... we breathe it in and out ... it can be warm, sunny, and blue, or grey and wet—but it’s always COOL! Learn about the atmosphere—what it is; how do animals, plants, and people interact with it? Water and air are always cycling through the sky—it’s always full of birds, insects, and other animals...look up, waaaay up, for July fun!
 

Session Two: Dig Deep!

August 9–13, 16–20, 23–27

We grow our food in it.  We love playing in it.  It forms the base for everything on earth—it’s DIRT! This session is full of good, clean, soil-themed fun! How deep to roots go? How do animals live underground?  What clues to our prairire past are buried below? Answers to these questions, and many more, await you during August at FortWhyte Alive.
