Celebrate the harvest at FortWhyte Alive’s Fall Family Festival. Bring the whole family for a day of fun, featuring cultural activities, crafts, archery, carnival games and outdoor recreation!

Shop our farmer’s market and purchase delicious fresh-from-the-garden FortWhyte Farms produce, along with Manitoba-made products from a variety of local artisans and crafters.

Farmer’s Market with Local Artisans   10 am – 4 pm
Celebrate the harvest and enjoy freshly picked vegetables, pasture-raised chickens, and honey from FortWhyte Farms and local vendors. Shop for a little something special from a variety of fine Manitoban artisans and crafters under the big tent and in the Alloway Reception Centre. 

Pancake Breakfast    10 am – 12 pm
Join us for a pancake breakfast on the back deck of the Alloway Reception Centre.

Carnival Games   10 am – 4 pm
Enjoy carnival games like the Ring Toss, Frisbee, and Bean Bag throws. These fun games can be found in the field beside the Richardson Rrrun Toboggan Slide.

Orienteering   10 am – 4 pm
Build your map reading skills through landmark orienteering! Pick up a map in front of the Alloway Reception Centre and explore the sights of FortWhyte.

Bison Safaris    11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm
See the bison like never before, from inside the fence in the comfort and safety of our bison van. Bring your camera! Pre-register at the front desk. $10 per person.

Archery    11 am – 2 pm
Take aim at being Robin Hood, or Katniss Everdeen! Hit the bullseye at our archery demo. Located between FortWhyte Alive Farms and Market Vendors.

Bannock Bake (while supplies last)   12 – 3 pm
There is nothing more delicious than freshly roasted bannock. Head over to the fire pits behind the Interpretive Centre for a taste!

Sod House Pioneers   12 – 3 pm
Come visit with our Sod House Pioneers and learn about winter preparations from the days of yore.

Dipnetting   12 pm – 3 pm
Join our volunteer interpreters on the boardwalks as they tell you what you can discover in our marshes.

Guided North Walks    1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm
Join an interpreter on the North Trails and discover the nature that awaits you. Meet at the Sod House.

BBQ Lunch & Snacks   11 am – 3 pm
Concessions can be found on the South deck of the Interpretive Centre.
