How to Book

It’s as easy as downloading a form and faxing it in or using the online booking system. Bookings will be made on a first come first serve basis and CANNOT be booked over the phone. Some black-out dates apply so please see the booking forms for winter dates. All of the information on the booking form must be completed before a space will be held.

Winter and spring program bookings will be processed after October 11, 2011 to allow sufficient time to schedule Fall program bookings.

When booking your programs, keep in mind the current school year timetable including days off for students, winter and spring break and report card weeks. Booking your programs on well-timed dates will make the FortWhyte Alive experience that much more enjoyable for you and your students.

Please Note

In order for us to best serve your group, please make us aware of any special details such as time constraints or students with additional support needs prior to arriving for your field trip.
 

Cancellation Policy

We DO NOT cancel programs. We have alternate indoor activities so outdoor time is minimized on days with extreme weather conditions. Groups canceling at least 14 days ahead of their event will not be charged. All groups failing to show, or canceling within 14 days of the program will be charged 50% of the total fee.

Payment

Payment for your program can be made upon arrival to FortWhyte Alive. Cash, cheques, P.O., and credit cards are all acceptable methods. Invoicing is an option, but there is a $10.00 processing fee.

Bussing

If your school doesn’t have special arrangements for bussing, contact First Student at 257-0696. If you cannot arrange transportation for your scheduled program time, please contact the booking office at FortWhyte to notify us.

* Guided Environmental Science Program - $5.00/student (min. $75.00)

* Outdoor Adventure & Skill Development - $5.50/student (min. $75.00)
* Winter Fun Day - $8.50/student (min. $340 - equivalent to 40 students)
* Self-guided - $3.00/student (min. $45.00)
* Guided/Self-guided Combo - Program fee + $1.75/student
* Paddling & Sailing- See schedule
* Teachers and supervising adults admitted FREE!
* Lunch for your Bunch (from the Buffalo Stone Café) - $7 + tax and up (min. $75)

Rentals

Prices are for a Half-Day Rental

* Fire Pit (includes fire starter, kindling, wood) - $10.00
* Gas Barbeque - $25.00
* Snowshoes - $3.00/ pair
* Loly Lookout Picnic Shelter - $30.00
