FortWhyte Alive offers a beautiful natural setting and facilities with several distinctive rental venues. Open year-round, FortWhyte is an ideal location for events such as business meetings and retreats, company barbecues, client functions, family celebrations and wedding receptions.

The Lakeside Meeting Room

Located in the award-winning Alloway Reception Centre, this boardroom style space will seat 20 people comfortably. This bright and inviting room with a view is fitted with audio and visual equipment, wireless internet connection, phone conference system and a private lakeside deck. It is the perfect place to host a fully catered business breakfast or luncheon adjacent to our Buffalo Stone Cafe

Daily Rental: $200

Siobhan Richardson Field Station

This secluded 2,000 square foot lakeside Field Station is surrounded by mature aspen forest. To lighten our carbon footprint, participants are asked to walk in and out of this location. The 20 minute fresh air hike passing the Bison Prairie and following along the lake is the perfect way to decompress before and after meetings. Ideal for corporate retreats of up to 35 participants, the Field Station is available year-round.  Interested in an overnight option? Three architecturally unique cabins each sleep 10 in a common style space with a personal window onto the natural world at each bed.

Daily Rental: $400 (1/2 day rates available)

Alloway Reception Centre

This open concept reception centre is home to the Buffalo Stone Cafe, Albrechtsen Hall and Nature Shop. A large deck with seating cantilevers over the lake while the adjoining Buffalo Rubbing Stone Plaza can extend your event outdoors. Groups of 50 to 110 can be accommodated for plated dinners, 140 for cocktails or outdoor barbeques for after-hours private functions.

Low Season: $750, High Season & Weekends: $1000

FortWhyte Alive’s own Buffalo Stone Cafe will meet all your catering needs. Good food and good times go hand in hand with thoughtfully prepared lunches, plated dinners, banquet buffets or barbeques. Acclaimed for its fresh and locally inspired cuisine, the Buffalo Stone Cafe will create memorable meals for your event. Wine, beer and spirits available for evening private receptions.
