Education

WINTER FUN DAY LEADERS
If you enjoy children and outdoor adventure, you can be a Winter Fun Day Leader. Here is an opportunity to snowshoe, make snow taffy, build outdoor shelters and more. Time commitment is daytime, Monday through Friday, minimum 2½ hour shift once a week. Training is provided.

YOUTH PROGRAM LEADERS
Do you enjoy the energy and enthusiasm of children? Come share in their sense of wonder with hands-on nature experiences and winter adventures including snowshoeing. Commitment is one and a half hours sporadically on Saturdays and weekday evenings, January through March. Training is provided.

Outdoor Adventure

FIRE & TAFFY TENDERS
Here is a role for individuals who might like to be involved with weekday school programs but in a supportive function. How does guiding children at rolling taffy poured on snow or baking bannock and roasting marsh-mallows on a stick sound? A crash course on fire tending and you’re on the team! The time commitment is daytime, any day Monday through Friday for a minimum 3 hour shift.

SNOWSHOE CLUB LEADERS
Are you looking for outdoor exercise and adventure on weekends? You don’t need strong expertise to take on this role as training is provided. Commitment is sporadic on alternate Saturday mornings January through March.

ADVENTURE RACING CREW
Feel the thrill of an Adventure Race without a single day of training! How? Join in on the day of the race and live vicariously through the participants by supporting them in their adventure. Volunteers are positioned along the race route, at water stations or exchange zones.  Hypothermic Half Marathon: Sunday, February 26, 2012 and EcoAdventure Race: Sunday, April 22, 2012 are dates to mark in your play book.
