Blazing Your Trail!

GPS, GIS, UTM, FTF: not only will Blazing Your Trail help you “navigate” the alphabet soup of new navigation technologies, but also teach you how to find your position (and way home!) without any fancy gadgets.  This program is perfect for classes wanting to learn more about maps, compasses, Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and Ground Information Systems – or for anyone who wants to feel completely at home outdoors!  This two-hour hands on program teaches basic outdoor direction finding and travel skills, as well as introducing students to the sport of orienteering.
