What to Bring

Important:

  • Be sure to label all your child’s belongings as FortWhyte Alive will not be responsible for lost or missing articles.

  • Please send your child in clothes that are practical for crafts and outdoor play.

  • For security reasons, we are unable to allow campers’ belongings to remain at the FortWhyte overnight.

Summer Camps

Campers need to bring the following items to camp each day:

  • A litterless lunch that contains no nuts or nut products (no lunch for Kinder Camp)

  • Two snacks (litterless and nut-free as well) (one snack for Kinder Camp)

  • Bathing suit and towel (except Kinder Camp)

  • Closed toe water shoes for swimming(old shoes or aqua socks)

  • Rainwear and rubber boots for rainy days

  • Change of clothing

  • Sunscreen and a hat

  • Insect repellent

  • Reusable cup or water bottle


Spring Camp

  • 1 litterless lunch and 2 litterless snacks that contain no nuts or nut products

  • rubber boots

  • mittens

  • extra pair of socks

  • ong underwear or sweatpants (to wear over/under regular clothes)

  • extra layer (sweater or fleece top)

  • change of clothes

Winter Camp

  • 1 litterless lunch and 2 litterless snacks that contain no nuts or nut products

  • toque/insulated winter hat, scarf/neck tube

  • warm mittens

  • snow boots

  • two extra pair of socks

  • long underwear or sweatpants (to wear over/under regular clothes)

  • extra top layer (sweater or fleece top)

  • change of clothes

  • toboggan (optional, but for safety reasons, sleds with skis/runners are not permitted)
