Winter Fun Days

Winter Fun Days at FortWhyte Alive encourage students and teachers to get outside and get active. Winter isn’t the time to hibernate, it is fun and exciting! Activities such as snowshoeing, tobogganing, orienteering and Inuit and Voyageur Games, will expose students to many possibitilites of winter fun.

Scheduled activities will be modified to suit extreme weather conditions.
Space provided for 1/2 hour lunch.

Frosty Frolics   

Nursery, Kindergarten & Grade 1

This half day program is a perfect fit for little ones with little legs.

Dates: January 12 – March 16
Fee: $5.00/student
Min: 40 students or $200.00
10% DEPOSIT REQUIRED ON WINTER FUN DAYS

Winter Carnival Day  

Grades 1 - 3

Vive le Voyageur Day  

Grades 4 - 6

  • Snowshoe Hike
  • Voyageur Games
  • Trade Furs with the Chief
  • Snow Taffy
  • Tobogganing

Outdoor Skills

Grades 6 - 12

  • Snowshoe Hike
  • Fire and Shelter Building
  • Orienteering
  • Tobogganing
  • Bannock Bake
