30th Sunset BBQ at FortWhyte Alive

Thank you!

With perfect weather for dining outdoors on the lakeside patio at FortWhyte Alive, this year's 30th Annual Sunset BBQ was a massive success.

Your generous support raised close to $150,000 for environmental education for young people in Manitoba. We are blown away by the generosity of our community and are excited to put your support to work as we welcome thousands of students who wouldn't otherwise be able to come to FortWhyte Alive over this next year.

This night wouldn't be possible without our team of FortWhyte Alive volunteers and Diversity Foods Services, and we thank them for their efforts in creating an unforgettable evening for all in attendance.

We'd also like to extend our gratitude to Sunset Sponsor ADESA Auctions – with a special thank you to ADESA auctioneer Curtis Newton, who raised a record $37,960 in donations for the Class Act program which subsidizes the cost of a field trip to FortWhyte Alive for inner-city schools. Incredible!

The Sunset BBQ is the keystone fundraiser for supporting environmental education, outdoor recreation and social enterprise programs. On behalf of our Board, organizing committee, staff and volunteers, we would like to say thank you to the many guests, donors, volunteers and individuals who support this event!
