This past Saturday marked FortWhyte Alive's 6th Annual Snow Trek! Over 350 people braved the cold and got in motion to cross-country ski, snowshoe, skate, toboggan and (of course!) enjoy hot chocolate and marshmallows by the fire. Free equipment rentals and instruction all afternoon meant that, for many, Snow Trek was a full day of trying new things and exploring winter activities.
Our thanks to those who came out to embrace and experience winter at its finest, and to the many volunteers that made the day a success.
Missed Snow Trek? Not to worry! There is still a whole season's worth of winter experiences to take in at FortWhyte Alive, including Warm Up to Winter Wednesdays, ice fishing lessons, cross-country ski lessons, and Snowshoe Saturdays. FortWhyte Alive is a place to explore anytime: snowshoeing, skiing (BYO skis), tobogganing, and skating are on offer every day of the week.
