Fit 4 Two: Stroller Fitness – June Session

Gather in community a breath of fresh air.

Stroller fitness is a great way for you to get a full body workout and still be able to attend to your baby’s needs. Each outdoor class includes intervals of power walking, functional strength training and cardio drills followed by postnatal-specific core work and flexibility. Our mobile intervals are ideal for babies who like to be on the move. Come out and meet other parents in your community, and reap the benefits of spending more time in the great outdoors.

CANCELLED – Small Space Container Gardening Workshop

Limited outdoor space doesn’t have to mean limited opportunities.

Learn all there is to know about growing a small balcony or deck container garden from Bruce Jasperson of Jasperson’s Greenhouse and Landscaping. Learn about what plants work well in small spaces, and tricks and trips from a true green thumb. You’ll receive a starter kit to take home. All materials included.

AN EVENING IN SUPPORT OF ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION FOR YOUTH

Staged outdoors on FortWhyte’s beautiful lakeside plaza, this fun and informal event stands out as our signature fundraiser. Enjoy a delicious meal by our own Buffalo Stone Café as you watch the Buffalo Cup Regatta sail by on Lake Devonian at sunset. Campfire Series: Explore Abandoned Manitoba

Gather in community around a roaring fire.

Join us around the campfire for a new series of unplugged talks, designed to encourage community learning while enjoying the outdoors.

Gordon Goldsborough, author of Abandoned Manitoba and More Abandoned Manitoba, joins us to share stories about Manitoba landmarks and history. Spend time around the campfire enjoying s’mores and good company, while learning about Manitoba’s abandoned history from the author himself.

Open Fishing Season

FortWhyte Alive is just the spot for your first catch of the season.

Start the season off right by fishing for Northern pike, walleye, yellow perch and carp on our five lakes. Visit fortwhyte.org to learn more about fishing fees and gear rentals.
