Experience the migration season at FortWhyte Alive.

Our experienced birding guides lead a sunrise hike for beginners and experts alike. Afterwards, compare checklists over a coffee or tea and a muffin outside the Buffalo Stone Café.

Please note

Suggested for ages 10+, including adults and older adults.

All participants should review the ABA Code of Ethics before participation.

Bird photographers are welcome. Please review the Audubon Birding Photography Code of Ethics before participation.

This is a guided experience that includes coffee and a muffin. Registration closes at 12 pm the day before the session to allow time for the cafe to prepare. If you have dietary concerns, please contact 204-989-8355 ext 210 no later than 12 pm the day before your session.

This program takes place outside rain or shine, please come dressed for the weather.A notebook, field guides, and binoculars are helpful birding tools, but not necessary.

Please meet in FortWhyte Alive’s Alloway Reception Centre at 7 am. A staff person will check you in, and you will be introduced to your experienced guide as the program begins.
