The Discover the Earth Series will explore the earth, it’s interior parts, it’s movable and invisible parts. We will talk about earthquakes, volcanoes, the different type of rocks, geography and so on.
Throughout a series of experiments, like making chocolate chip cookies to represent the formation of rocks, using whip cream, graham cookies and fruit rollup to see the fundamentals of tectonic movements, each participant will create a 3D model visualizing the earth and its processes. Every 2 weeks we will explore and develop a new understanding of where we live by experimenting science concepts.
The earth series includes:
- Lesson 1: The earth and it’s interior. – March 18
- Lesson 2: The moving earth Part 1 – April 1
- Lesson 3: The moving earth Part 2 – April 15
- Lesson 4: Rock formations – April 29
- Lesson 5: Soil formation – May 13
This series will be given by Daniel Belanger, creator of the science club “Les Écolo-Espions”.
