Would you believe that FortWhyte Alive was once an industrial landscape used for mining clay? From ancient bedrock to modern technology, the landscape is constantly evolving. In less than 50 years it has transformed into a haven for plants, animals and people. Join an interpreter to learn more about the past, present and future of this urban nature oasis.
Suggested for ages 5+, including adults and older adults.
$15 for adults, Seniors & Students
$12 for FortWhyte Alive Member
$10 for children (must be under 12 years old and accompanied by an adult)
All group programming follows current public health regulations and guidelines regarding group sizes and physical distancing. Face masks are required inside all buildings at FortWhyte Alive. Visitors participating in programs and experiences assume risk associated with using shared equipment.
At this time, we are asking staff and volunteers showing any symptoms to stay home to protect our community. Programs may be cancelled or postponed if staff or volunteers are unavailable to lead them. All visitors registered for a program will be notified as far in advance of the cancellation as possible.
