Hygge Yoga

Build a deeper connection with nature, create a space to relax, calm the mind, and practice self-care in this fall hygge yoga retreat.

Jill Kantor of Hygge Canada/Hygge in a Box and Kelly Cowan of Spacious Heart Studio have teamed up to lead this unique 2-hour retreat in a cozy cabin in the woods.

You will spend the afternoon getting comfortable in FortWhyte Alive’s most idyllic locations, conducive to relaxation & healing, both individually & collectively.

The afternoon will consist of 60-minutes of hygge practice and journaling and a 60-minute vinyasa flow yoga session. All yoga experience levels are welcome.

What is hygge?

Hygge is the Danish concept of creating a feeling of warmth, comfort and conviviality and is most often associated with fall and winter: a time for journeying inwards during the cooler months. This concept is essentially all about finding mindful contentment through savouring the simple things in life such as a cozy atmosphere, a warm drink or the feeling of friendship.

Combining the wellness practices of yoga with hygge just makes sense.
