A little piece of lake life in the city.

Spend an evening paddling before sunset for the perfect summer night. Paddle Nights are a 45-minute session with a canoe or kayak, with help available to get you started. No experience is required.

Paddle Nights take place at our new Buffalo Crossing Building at 2505 McGillivray Blvd.

This program is held at the Buffalo Crossing building.

You are welcome to bring a dry, properly fitting personal flotation device (PFD) in good working condition to Paddle Night. If you do not have a PFD, FortWhyte will provide one for you to use during your paddle. As well, service animals must wear PFDs.

Group Bookings: Please note that we are unable to accommodate large groups at Paddle Night. For information on group booking options please contact [email protected].

To protect our lake health, FortWhyte Alive does not allow personal watercraft on site.

Refund Policy: Please note that experiences at FortWhyte Alive are non-refundable unless FortWhyte cancels due to inclement weather. If Paddle Night is cancelled, you will be informed and given the opportunity to reschedule or receive a refund. Refunds will not be issued for booking more boats than required.

Canoes
$25 per canoe for a 45-minute session. Each canoe can fit a maximum of two adults and one child. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All participants must wear a life jacket.

Kayaks
$19.50 per kayak for a 45-minute session. Each kayak can fit a maximum of one person. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult on another kayak. Children younger than 8 are not permitted on kayaks.
