A little piece of lake life, in the city.

Spend an evening canoeing or kayaking for the perfect summer night – no experience required! Register in advance for a 40-minute exploration of Lake 5.

Please note that this year this experience takes place at the Siobhan Richardson Field Station, NOT at our Adventure Site at 2505 McGillivray Blvd.

Space is limited so groups are asked to book a private paddle by contacting [email protected]

Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 8 are not permitted on kayaks.

To help maintain our lake health we do not allow personal watercraft on site however you may bring your own PFD so long as it is clean and in good condition. If you do not have a PFD you will be provided one.

Experiences at FortWhyte Alive are non-refundable unless cancelled by FortWhyte Alive due to inclement weather. If cancelled, you will be informed as early as possible on the date of your booking to reschedule or receive a refund. If you do not receive notice of cancellation, the event is happening as scheduled.


$22 per canoe for a 40-minute session. Each canoe fits a maximum of 2 adults and 1 child.

$16.50 per kayak for a 40-minute session. Each kayak can fit a maximum of 1 person.
