Parks Canada @ FortWhyte: How’d we get here?
Join us around the campfire as we travel through time from the retreat of the glaciers, the time of the fur trades to the opening of Manitoba’s first National Park.
The history of Riding Mountain National Park represents the succession of the land not only in the area of the park, but across Manitoba. Although Riding Mountain is a natural park, the culture and history played a huge role in creating the park that we enjoy today.
