Learn how you can be involved with FortWhyte Alive’s school programs.
Our hands-on student programs cover subjects such as how wildlife adapts to the weather, the history of people on the prairies, and how to protect our wetlands. You don’t need to be an expert to share nature with others. Energy, people skills, enthusiasm and training is the secret to success for this volunteer role.
Commitment is one-half day per week for fun interactive school programs at varied levels/age (K-12). We offer a wide variety of interesting topics including science, social studies, physical education/adventure.
Our education team and Volunteer Resources Manager will be available throughout the open house to answer your questions about volunteering in our school programs. Be part of the magic of a foundational memory – a child’s field trip to FortWhyte Alive.
