Join us to take part in family-friendly activities to help you conserve water and reduce your water pollution! Start with a guided tour to learn how we conserve water at FortWhyte Alive, then stop by our Education Booth from 1pm-3pm to make your own toilet leak detector tablets to take home.
FortWhyte Alive has its own wastewater treatment system which uses a combination of technology and nature to treat what we flush or wash down the drain. An expert guide will walk you through the (odourless!) process, and you’ll learn all about how natural wetlands act to clean up water.
At this time, we are asking staff and volunteers showing any symptoms to stay home to protect our community. Programs may be cancelled or postponed if staff or volunteers are unavailable to lead them. All visitors registered for a program will be notified as far in advance of the cancellation as possible.
Although FortWhyte Alive is actively working at disinfecting gear with CDC approved disinfectants after each use, we cannot guarantee that our gear is sterilized. Visitors participating in programs and experiences assume risk associated with using shared equipment.
This program is suggested for all ages.
