As part of FortWhyte's commitment to Social Sustainability, we are proud to announce our designation as a Fair Trade workplace!

On Friday, February 3rd, FortWhyte Alive's Sustainability Committee hosted a lunch and learn lead by Zack Gross, Outreach Coordinator for the Manitoba Council for International Cooperation.  He graciously presented staff with a certificate – as a designated workplace, FortWhyte is committed to offering Fair Trade coffee, tea and sugar to staff and volunteers as well as sharing Fair Trade promotional material with staff and the general public. In addition to this, we have formed a committee to ensure continued commitment to our Fair Trade Workplace designation.

Zack also shared information about the importance of Fair Trade products and of course, brought along some samples.
