With the combination of warm weather, cold drinks and the scent of smoky bonfires, FortWhyte Alive’s 2nd Annual Lake Shaker was once again a hit! Thanks to your support, The Lake Shaker raised $5,000 in support of environmental education at FortWhyte Alive. Thank you to all those involved for making this wild fundraiser a success, and for supporting our work here at FortWhyte!
- Huge thanks to our sponsors Cornell Creme and Mill St. Brewery for helping us shake a lake in style. Thanks to the crew from the Buffalo Stone Cafe by Diversity Foods for keeping us warm with scrumptious eats.
- As always, thanks to our FortWhyte Alive volunteers… we couldn’t have done it without you!
- Huge thanks to Wilder Goods for selling tickets to the event, even if they only lasted an hour or two!
- And thanks once again to Wilder Goods, Cole and Canary, Mill St. Brewery and Bothwell Cheese for contributing such awesome prizes.
- Thank you to Toby and Natalie for helping us make all those animal heads. How fun was that? Thanks to Mark Blieske for showing us his wood working skills and to Sherman Kong for getting thing ‘heated’ with that fire-building competition.
- Big up to Tripwire Media Group for once again going the extra mile with the photo booth and to Joseph Visser for volunteering his time to capture the night so beautifully.
- Thank you to The Honeysliders, Micah Erenberg and DJs Ack ‘n’ Quack for bringing the party to our main stage.
- Congratulations to the first 50 who walked away with a bag full of goodies from our friends at CLAY Soap, Mill St. Brewery, Manitoba Harvest Hemp Foods, Wilder Goods and more (thank you for providing goodies!)
- And to all of you that decided to join our community, welcome aboard! We hope to see you soon and often. Thank you for helping us kick off our 50th anniversary with style!
