FortWhyte Alive Access Program

Everyone should be able to access time in nature. To make this possible we're proud to pilot a subsidized membership program to expand access to nature.

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy regular access to nature, regardless of one’s financial means.

To support this belief and to help those in our community that need it most, FortWhyte Alive is proud to announce a pilot program which will cover 50% of annual membership fees to those who qualify. Subsidized memberships will receive the same benefits as the corresponding non-subsidized membership.

To be eligible for a subsidized membership you must meet the following requirements:

  • Your gross household income is less than the Statistics Canada Low Income Cut-offs
  • If awarded a subsidized annual membership in the past, you must reapply each year for renewal. No renewal discount will apply, and you must have used your membership at least four times in the preceding year to qualify for another subsidized membership.
Students are not eligible for a subsidy
