The 2026 Harvest Supper

Posted on September 16, 2026

On September 10, FortWhyte Farms welcomed friends, neighbours, and community members to our 13th annual Harvest Supper, presented by The Wolf Strata Group

Thanks to your incredible generosity, this year’s event raised over $28,000! We’re so grateful for your support and for helping make this event such a success.

The evening was a celebration of youth, food, community, and the incredible work that grows from the land and the people who care for it. Together, we marked the end of another growing season at FortWhyte Farms with good food, meaningful connections, and gratitude for all that the season has brought.

Your generosity strengthens our entire community. Thanks to your support, 16 local youth spent this past summer on the farm, gaining hands-on employment skills, building confidence and discovering where their food comes from. On the fields, they planted and harvested fresh, healthy produce for local families, stocked the market at FortWhyte Farms and helped nourish our community at the Harvest Supper. Together, we are empowering the next generation to learn, work, grow, and give back.

The evening began with a lively cocktail hour, where guests enjoyed beverages from One Great City and Patent 5 Distillery, while taking in the sweet sounds of Jay Buchanan. A special thank you to our entertainment sponsor, ConPro Industries, for helping bring the evening to life through music.

The youth kept the energy high throughout the early evening with a variety of fun farm games, including horseshoes, carrot toss, vegetable guessing, and even a round of chicken poop bingo!

Once everyone gathered under the tent, FortWhyte Alive was thrilled to welcome Nicole Dubé as our emcee for Harvest Supper. Thank you to Nicole for hosting us for the first time, and for your wonderful support of FortWhyte Alive!

The celebration continued with a blessing from Knowledge Keeper Jason Parenteau, followed by a traditional dance performance by Viola Spence Byington, with her brother Jesse Byington drumming alongside her. Viola was a farm participant who graduated two years ago. Since then, she has completed her high school certificate and worked alongside our former Kitchen Coordinator, Owen Campbell, at SEED Winnipeg this summer.

We extend our deep gratitude to Knowledge Keeper Jason Parenteau for his blessing, and to Viola and Jesse for their beautiful traditional performance.

FortWhyte Alive President & CEO, Liz Wilson, shared her sincere appreciation for everyone who came out to support the 2026 Harvest Supper. Guests also had the opportunity to hear from our farm youth staff about their experiences working on the farm this summer and the meaningful impact the program had on them.

A big thank you to One Great City Brewing Co. for their continued friendship and support. This year’s Harvest Supper marked the official launch of our new fall collaboration beer, Gourd Intentions. Now available in Liquor Marts across Manitoba, this special seasonal brew directly supports our mission: $1 from every can sold goes directly to FortWhyte Alive.

Thank you to Patent 5 Distillery for providing delicious cocktails. We’re incredibly lucky to have such wonderful local partners who believe in our mission.

A heartfelt thank you to all of the amazing youth who helped bring our fun farm games to life, welcomed guests on tours, shared their stories, and celebrated the Harvest Season with us. Their energy, enthusiasm, and hard work made the event truly special.

We’re incredibly grateful to the wonderful sponsors who helped make this evening possible. Your generosity and continued support make a meaningful difference, and we’re so grateful to have you by our side.

Thank you also to our dedicated volunteers, whose hard work behind the scenes helped make every detail of the evening come together seamlessly!
