Outdoor Learning means getting as many students in Manitoba learning outside at school, as often as possible, promoting sustainable living through hands-on experiences of the natural world.
We live in a time and place where it’s easy to feel disconnected from the natural world that supports and sustains us.
Children especially are often kept inside, away from the wonderful lessons nature offers every day.
Getting outside regularly at school is a powerful way to re-connect students and educators with the natural world.
Now is the time to Get Out And Teach!
I was super impressed by your knowledge and the way you were able to get the info across to us. I'm looking forward to being able to use some of it with my students and hope to someday get an outdoor ed class at our school.
The program I took at the Nature Summit completely changed my expectations and plans for working with kids outside...I feel I’ve improved SO much from last year after the training.
The teaching staff and students learned a great deal about their environment while having a great time. The program is well laid out and carries a robust pedagogy that provides an outstanding learning experience for all grades from K-12.
