An outdoor pizza dinner at FortWhyte Farms.
Grab your loved ones and settle in for some homemade pizza prepared by our Junior Summer Staff and kitchen program co-ordinator, Jude. Enjoy a tour of the farm in the summer weather, eat freshly baked, homemade pizza, and non-alcoholic beverages while you learn about the Farm, the market, and its programs.
After your meal, meet some of the farm’s animal ambassadors like our chickens, pigs, bunnies, and our friendly farm cat Georgi. Then shop at the FortWhyte Farms market to stock up for your own culinary adventures.
Your $35 ticket includes one 14″-16″ pizza (a standard “medium” size that feeds 2-4 people. These are not personal pizzas!) Each pizza is baked to order and made with our homemade pizza crust, brushed with garlic butter and sprinkled with sesame seeds, and then topped with our famous homemade pizza sauce, locally sourced cheese, and a rotating, seasonal selection of vegetables from our farm and surrounding agricultural partners. For an additional $5 you can add our locally raised Kune Kune pork farmers’ sausage. Non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase with your meal.
Seatings are available from 5:30-6:45 pm and 7:00-8:15 pm.
This dinner will be held at FortWhyte Farms.
There are no gluten-free or dairy-free options available for this program.
Food will be prepared in a kitchen that handles various allergens including gluten, dairy, and nuts. If you have a severe allergy please contact us at 204-989-8355 ext 231 and discuss this with the Public Programs Coordinator and if you need more information before registering for this event.
Please note, this program takes place at FortWhyte Farms and must be accessed through our McCreary Road entrance at 1961 McCreary Road. The dinner will be hosted at the Farm HQ, the building with a porch and red roof on the left side of Sam Fabro Way. Weather permitting, you may choose to eat outside at one of the picnic tables.
