Golfers, sponsors, and community members gathered for FortWhyte Alive’s 32nd Annual Golf Classic, as we honored the memory and lasting legacy of Sam Fabro, a devoted community builder, passionate leader, and one of FortWhyte Alive’s founding trustees. Playing a round in his honor felt like the most fitting tribute possible.

The weather couldn’t have been more cooperative, setting the stage for an unforgettable day from start to finish.
Players kicked off the morning at the driving range, Sponsored by Canada Life, before a great BBQ lunch thanks to our Lunch Sponsor P4 Electrical Contractors. Players also enjoyed a lively putting contest, Sponsored by MLT Aikins.
The day featured some amazing bites on the green thanks to our Food Station Sponsors: Boston Pizza, handing out their signature individual pizzas, a perogy station thanks to the Winnipeg Kinsmen Club, and some great chicken skewers thanks to Shindico.
Competition was tight on the course this year! After an exciting tie for first place, Brandt Tractor walked away with the title.

While the action on the course was memorable, the real winning happened beyond the scorecard. Between player registrations, an exciting raffle, and the incredible support of our sponsors, we are thrilled to share that this year’s event raised over $75,000!
100% of these proceeds go directly into FortWhyte Alive’s environmental education programs. Every drive, putt, and raffle ticket helps us empower young people to get outdoors, fall in love with nature, and become the next generation of environmental stewards.
