FortWhyte Alive Access Program

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy regular access to nature, regardless of one’s financial means.

To support this belief and to help those in our community that need it most, FortWhyte Alive is proud to announce a pilot program which will cover 50% of the cost of annual membership and/or day camps fees. Subsidized memberships receive the same benefits as the corresponding non-subsidized membership.

To be eligible for a subsidized membership or day camp spot you must meet the following requirements:

• Your gross household income is less than the Statistics Canada Low Income Cut-offs
• If awarded a subsidized membership or camp spot in the past, you must reapply each year. The standard member renewal or camp discounts do not apply.
• To renew a subsidized membership, you must have used your membership at least four times in the preceding year to qualify for another subsidized membership. Students are not eligible for a subsidy.

To apply you must complete our confidential online Access Program Application below. You must include copies of supporting documentation (photocopies or digital photos); no hard copies or in person requests will be accepted.

Upon receipt of your application, you can expect to receive notification within five business days regarding whether your application has been successful. Payment for the remainder 50% balance of the membership is required within one week of receiving confirmation, payable over the phone or in person.
