Get experience by volunteering at FortWhyte Alive

Posted on March 7, 2018

Are you looking to:

  • Get work experience?

  • Build your resume?

  • Make connections?

  • Volunteer outside in nature?

FortWhyte Alive is seeking volunteers to lead students of all ages in unforgettable outdoor experiences.

Volunteering at FortWhyte Alive is meaningful, rewarding and fun — you’ll learn what it’s like to work at a leading non-profit organization, while taking home skills that are applicable to your field.

Each year we welcome volunteers looking to get hands-on work experience that will help them in their careers in education, environmental studies, science and more. Volunteers at FortWhyte Alive have the opportunity to take a break from the mundane to help enrich outdoor experiences that resonate with visitors and themselves.

Plus, we have a lot of fun behind the scenes here at FortWhyte Alive! Our volunteers are the kind of people who help kids roast their first marshmallow over an open fire or teach them the difference between an aspen and a spruce tree. Those are the moments that we live for.

Successful applicants will gain hands-on experience, volunteer outside in nature, and add to their resume by working with an award-winning destination for education.

We are accepting applications now for School Program Leaders for the spring program season. Deadline to apply is March 28, 2018. Learn more.
