Feeders are a great way to provide stable food sources for birds. But what happens when the feeder is empty? Many people worry that those birds will suffer from lack of resources, but not to worry—birds adapt and find new sources quickly.

However, if you forget to top up your feeder too many times, your yard will quickly become known as a unreliable source, and you’ll miss out on the wonderful sight of birds visiting your yard. If you want to make your backyard a hotspot for bird watching, be sure to always keep your feeder full so that birds in your neighbourhood come back again and again.

Check out our Bird Feeding Guide to learn which seeds attract which birds.
