Please note: Our Memorial Boardwalks have seen better days, and we’re excited to announce that both boardwalks will be refurbished in the coming year. As all existing boardwalks and plaques will be removed from the marsh this fall, new boardwalk plaques will not be installed until summer of 2027.

There will be no cost to existing plaque owners during this project; all plaques will be reinstalled on the new boardwalks once they are complete. For donors who recently purchased a plaque, we will keep you updated on our progress.

Boardwalk plaques are stainless steel, measure 5” x 2” and allow up to three lines of 28 characters for your personalized message. At $175 each, you will receive a $127 tax receipt and a complimentary family day pass to visit your special part of this beautiful trail.

Your durable cedar and iron table includes a customized metallic plaque with space for three lines of 42 characters each. At $2,500 per table, you will receive a tax-deductible receipt for the full amount. Your gift includes a certificate of dedication as well as a family day pass to visit your table with family and friends.

The plaque on the bench can have up to 3 lines of text, with a cap of 42 characters per line. Benches cost $1000, which reserves your spot and maintains your bench for 10 years. After the 10-year mark, you will be invited to renew your bench.

You can choose one of our marked, unoccupied spots for your bench, or we can suggest a spot. Should you choose, you may also come to FortWhyte and meet with us to choose your spot, or it can be done virtually. You will receive a full tax receipt for the cost of the bench. You will also receive a family day pass to visit your bench with family and friends.
