Your True Nature: End of Campaign Celebration

Posted on July 25, 2023

We did it!

After months of heartwarming generosity and support from the community, we are proud to say that we met our goal of raising $1 million which will be doubled thanks to our generous matching donor Bob Williams.

You have blown us away with your support and we are so proud to count you as part of our community.

It’s your generosity that made this happen. Whether you donated, shared a message of support, or spread the word about the exciting improvements to come, you made this incredible feat possible. Thank you!

Your generosity means that countless students and visitors will have new and expanded learning spaces, healthier lakes and wetlands, new and improved trails, and access to Buffalo Crossing, a brand new climate-resilient building and southern entryway on McGillivray Blvd.

We also want to extend a huge thank you to Bob Williams for his outstanding generosity as our matching donor.

From the start Bob said that he chose to be a matching donor because he wanted to inspire people to become involved, and let us be the first to say… Bob inspired countless people to become part of the FortWhyte community.

Thanks to Bob’s matching gift, over 400 people made their gifts that much more impactful, doubling the impact of every dollar donated.

The matching campaign may be over, but you can still become part of FortWhyte Forever with a gift at givetruenature.ca.

Every donation will be permanently acknowledged on a special digital display inside Buffalo Crossing. With gifts of $1,000 and more, you will also be recognized on the outdoor, life-sized, bison-shaped Legacy Wall. For gifts over $2,500, there will be special opportunities to add your FortWhyte memories or express what being in nature means to you.
